Wild Courage

This was a very readable, interesting and enabling guide to identifying 'what you want' and having the courage and determination to go for it. There were some interesting observations, good tips to put into action, and it was an encouraging read.
The author is a former Google executive and career coach who chased an attractive stranger off the train and later married him. This is what she uses to endorse the message inherent in the book and she refers to it a number of times. It certainly was a rash and bold act.
Through chapters identifying nine traits, she invites the reader to follow her example, ditch their fear and chase after what they want, without apology. No need to worry about being weird, selfish, nosy, manipulative, because she turns these qualities on their head to become savvy, desirable and compassionate behaviours. And once adopted, you'll be able to get that promotion, launch a company or...run after that potential soulmate on a train.
'We hear about innovators, entrepreneurs, artists and others who inspire us only after their gambles have paid off,' she says. 'In hindsight the risks they took to reach the top look shrewd, wise and perceptive. They didn't at the time...We're comfortable with risks only after we know they've paid off.'
There are plenty of encouraging words and ways of refining behaviour and establishing priorities. She says: 'no one has ever been promoted for being ultra-responsive on email.'
